Every Love Story Deserves a Safe Ending

U.S. Virgin Islands – As Valentine’s Day celebrations take place across the territory, the Virgin Islands Police Department/Office of Highway Safety (VIPD/OHS) reminds drivers that the greatest way to show love is by making it home safely.

Whether you’re heading to dinner, a party, or spending time with loved ones, unsafe driving choices, including impaired, distracted, and drowsy driving, can turn a night of celebration into a lifetime of heartbreak. Driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, texting behind the wheel, or driving while overly tired all significantly increase the risk of serious crashes.

This Valentine’s Day, choose love. Plan a sober ride, put the phone away, get enough rest, buckle up, and look out for one another. If you’re hosting or celebrating with friends, help ensure no one drives impaired.

Because love is patient.

Love is protective.

And love always wants you to arrive alive.

Love doesn’t take risks. Drive focused, Drive Sober, and Arrive Alive.
