St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On August 10, 2026, at 2:06 p.m. the St. Croix 911 Emergency Call Center received several notifications of shots fired at the Superior Court. One male was reported to have sustained several gunshot wounds.
Upon officers’ arrival they observed an unresponsive male in a vehicle at the entrance to the parking lot of the Superior Court. Emergency Medical Services confirmed that the male succumbed to his injuries.
The male was identified by next of kin as 21-year-old Angel Rodriguez III.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) is actively investigating this incident as a homicide.
