St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – At approximately 4:13 a.m., the St. Croix 911 Emergency Call Center received multiple calls reporting two gunshot victims in the vicinity of La Terraza Bar and Restaurant in Castle Coakley.
VIPD officers and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded to the scene, where one victim was found lying on the ground, unresponsive, with an apparent gunshot wound to the upper body. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second victim was transported to Juan Luis Hospital via private vehicle and was subsequently pronounced deceased at the hospital.
The deceased victims have been identified by their next of kin as 30-year-old Yordani Eduardo and 25-year-old Delli Eduardo.
The Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) is actively investigating the incident as a double homicide.
The VIPD is asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or who may have information that could assist investigators to contact 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-778-2211 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
A cash reward may be available for information leading to an arrest from Crime Stoppers to all active investigations.
