St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Sunday, May 4, 2025, the 911 Emergency Call Center was alerted by Shot Spotter detection system of multiple shots fired in the area of Fort Pladsen, on St. Thomas. A call was also made reporting that two males were shot and needed immediate medical attention.
While on the scene, responding officers discovered two males that appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) also responded to the scene and began rendering life saving efforts. One of the men was transported to Schnieder Regional Medical Center for further treatment. EMT’s checked the second male for vital signs and concluded that he did not have any signs of life, and he succumbed to his injuries on the scene.
The identity of the deceased male is currently unknown pending contact with next of kin.
