ST. CROIX, U.S. Virgin Islands — August 11, 2026: The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD)
is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred Tuesday evening on Midland Road,
Route 72, just west of Estate Coble.

At approximately 8:53 p.m., emergency personnel responded to the area following a report
of a vehicle collision. Upon arrival, EMS personnel provided medical assistance to the driver,
who was found inside the vehicle. Despite those efforts, the driver was pronounced deceased
at the scene at approximately 9:07 p.m.

The deceased driver was identified as 41-year-old Olrick R. Harris of St. Croix.

western shoulder of the eastbound roadway and collided head-on with a concrete culvert
wall.

The collision caused significant damage to the front, undercarriage, and interior portions of

information is available at this time.

The VIPD extends its condolences to the family and loved ones of Mr. Harris during this
