St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On August 7, 2026, at approximately 4:25 a.m., Patrol Bureau officers arrested Shylequaa Garray, 26, on a charge of Child Neglect.
Garray was arrested after leaving her minor children unattended in her apartment.
Following her arrest, Garray was and later transported to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility. She was remanded pending her Advice of Rights hearing after failing to post $50,000 bail.
On August 5, 2026, at approximately 8:48 p.m., Patrol Bureau officers arrested Nyssiah Calderon, 21, on a charge of Destruction to Property – Domestic Violence.
Calderon was arrested after allegedly setting fire to several items belonging to a relative.
Calderon was processed and subsequently transported to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility. Pursuant to the Domestic Violence statute, no bail was set. Calderon was remanded pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
