St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On August 2, 2026, 20-year-old Jorge Ramos Jr. was arrested by members of the Virgin Islands Police Department and charged with Aggravated Assault and Battery.
At approximately 2:50 p.m., Ramos Jr. assaulted a police officer by throwing an object that struck the officer’s in left calf area.
Bail was set in the amount at $1005.00, which was posted. Ramos Jr. was subsequently released into the custody of a relative pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
