St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department wishes to inform the community of some traffic and parking restrictions, that will be enforced during the TSK Folklife Emancipation Celebration 2026, and Our Town Frederiksted Association – July 4th Celebration Beach Concert and Fireworks Display.
TSK Folklife Emancipation Celebration 2026
During the TSK Folklife Emancipation Celebration 2026 on Thursday, July 3, 2026, parking restrictions and roadblocks will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. With the Emancipation Quelbe Tramp starting at 6:00 p.m. from the Frederiksted Post Office to the Verne Richards Memorial Park on Strand Street. Followed by the Folklife Celebration from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Verne Richards Memorial Park on Strand Street.
The following parking restrictions and roadblocks will be in effect:
NO TRAFFIC will be allowed onto Emancipation Drive (Frederiksted Post Office) to the intersection of Fisher Street and Strand Street from 6:00 p.m. for the Quelbe Tramp.
NO TRAFFIC will be allowed on Strand Street from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. for the Quelbe Tramp.
NO PARKING will be allowed between the intersections of Strand Street and Hill Street as well as Strand Street and Market Street (Firstbank) for the Folklife Celebrations.
Our Town Frederiksted Association – JULY 4th Celebration Beach Concert and Fireworks Display
On Friday, July 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. the following traffic restriction will be in place.
NO northbound traffic will be allowed to pass the bridge on King Street, Frederiksted from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
NO southbound traffic will be allowed to pass La Grange Road intersection (Aquaholics Bar) towards Frederiksted Town. All southbound traffic will be rerouted onto La Grange Road to allow vendors to set up safely.
NO PARKING will be allowed between the intersections of King Street/Market Street and King Street/Customs House Street (KFC) on the left side of the street facing south. Parking within this intersection will ONLY be allowed on the left side of the street facing north.
NO PARKING will be allowed on any corner. Vehicles parked to obstruct the normal flow of traffic will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
During the fireworks display at Ann Abrahamson Marine Facility at 8:00 p.m., NO traffic will be allowed towards the entrance to the Frederiksted Dock from 6:00 p.m.
