


St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) Patrol Division made several arrests between May 15 and May 16, 2026, in connection with separate incidents including driving under the influence, assault, and violation of a court order.
Keezi Pinney
On Friday, May 15, 2026, officers responded to a vehicle collision in the area of Smith Bay. Keezi Pinney, one of the parties involved in the auto collision, displayed signs of intoxication.
Pinney, 41, was placed under arrest and charged with Driving Under the Influence. Bail was set at $1,000.00, which she posted. Pinney was released pending a Probable Cause Hearing.
William Mauk
On Friday, May 15, 2026, at approximately 9:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to Havensite Virgin Haven, in response to a reported assault.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the complainant, who identified the William Mauk, as the person who threw glass beer bottles at others and was engaged in several altercations with patrons.
William Mauk, 72, was arrested, transported to the Richard N. Callwood Police Central Command and processed. He was charged with assault third degree. Bail was set at $25,000.00 by order of the court. Mauk was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending the Advice of Rights Hearing.
Lawrence Edwards
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, at approximately 8:36 p.m., officers were dispatched to St. Peter, regarding a reported assault.
Upon arrival, the officers met with the complainant who identified Lawrence Edwards as the person who assaulted both her and an adult male, which was in violation of court order.
Edwards was uncooperative, exhibited aggressive behavior, and struck a police officer on the shoulder as the police were on the scene.
Lawrence Edwards, 34, was arrested, transported to the Richard N. Callwood Police Central Command and processed. He was charged with Simple Assault (DV), Violation of Court Order, Aggravated Assault. Edwards was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending the Advice of Rights Hearing.
