Stolen Vehicle Recovered; Suspect Arrested and Charged

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands –On April 30, 2026, at approximately 4:13 p.m., personnel from a utility company reported that they were notified via the GPS system that one of their vehicles was movedfrom the location where it had been parked.

On April 30, 2026, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the GPS indicated that the vehicle in question was stationary in the area of Nadir Hill, where it was subsequently recovered.

During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified as Burton Fahie. On May 20, 2026, Fahie was apprehended in the area of First Bank on Veterans Drive and transported to the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

Burton Fahie, 54, was placed under arrest and charged with Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle, Possession of Stolen Property, and Damage to Vehicle. Unable to post bail in the amount of $27,500.00, he was booked, processed, and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
