St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands –On August 16, 2025, at approximately 11:27 p.m., ShotSpotter detected several shots fired at East Street in Frederiksted. Upon the officers’ arrival, they discovered an adult female who sustained several gunshot wounds to her back area. The victim was transported by ambulance to the Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment.
Further investigation into this case revealed Kenny Rogers fired shots at two additional victims on August 16, 2025.
On May 5, 2026, an arrest warrant was issued by a Superior Court Judge for Kenny Rogers’ with bail set at $100,000.00.
On May 20, 2026, Kenny Rogers, 44, surrendered to police at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station in the presence of his defense attorney. He was arrested and booked for, two counts attempted murder first degree, two counts assault first, two counts assault third, discharging or aiming firearm. His attorney secured his release with a Superior Court Judge pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
