

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) has been investigating a series of vehicular hit and run and physical assaults that have taken place in the past few weeks. With a recent incident on Friday, November 28, 2025, in LaGrange, Frederiksted at around 6:30 a.m., where a woman was physically attacked causing injuries. Another incident occurred on October 23, 2025, at about 5:55 p.m. at the Villa La Reine, Pueblo parking lot, where a pedestrian was hit by a white Mercedes Benz sedan and the driver fled the scene. 39-year-old Cleo Taylor is a person of interest in these incidents. Taylor is a black female with a brown complexion, brown hair, brown eyes, standing at about 5’4”, weighing approximately 155 pounds. She frequents LaGrange, Frederiksted and Frederiksted Town.
The VIPD is currently investigating other reports in reference to a white Mercedes Benz sedan striking citizens throughout St. Croix. The vehicle was impounded shortly after at Taylor’s residence by the Police Department, and an arrest is pending.
