St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On June 20, 2026, at approximately 9:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to Chester’s Chicken located in Smith Bay, in reference to a carjacking.
The victim reported that while in her vehicle, an unknown male unlocked her door and dragged her out of her car. While she was on the ground, the suspect drove over her legs causing injuries to both her legs. The suspect then left the area in her car, and Officers later intercepted the vehicle on Raphune Hill. The suspect was found to be a minor. The minor suspect was transported to Roy Lester Schneider Hospital for treatment of his injuries. Upon release he was booked, processed, and placed in custody. He was charged with assault in the first degree, unauthorized use of a vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident.
