St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On July 20, 2026, at approximately 4:00 a.m., members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau along with members of the Special Operations Bureau and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant at the Croixville Housing Apartments.
During the execution of the search warrant, contact was made with the homeowner, 32-year-old Omani Abraham. He was provided with a certified copy of the search documents and remained present throughout the search.
During the search, officers recovered a firearm. Abraham claimed ownership of the firearm and was placed under arrest for carrying of a firearm openly or concealed and possession of ammunition.
Abraham was transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station where he was booked and processed. Unable to post the $50,000.00 bail, he was remanded to the John Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights hearing set for July 21, 2026, at the Superior Court.
