St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands — On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at approximately 5:31 p.m. Shot Spotter provided notification of 16 rounds fired in the Mon Bijou area, and at 5:32 p.m. Shot Spotter reported 5 more rounds fired in the Calqouhoun area. Several concerned citizens reported to the 911 Emergency Call Center of a vehicle firing shots at another vehicle while traveling west on Midland Road in the area of Calqouhoun. The vehicle that was fired upon lost control and collided into a residence wall. As a result, one female occupant was grazed on her left leg by a bullet and was treated at the scene by Emergency Medical Technicians. The other occupants in the vehicle, two adults and two young minors, were not injured during the discharging of shots or the vehicle accident.
The driver of the vehicle, Mr. Callistus Ettiene, was placed under arrest by the Superior Court Probation office personnel for probation violation.
