ST. CROIX, U.S. Virgin Islands — August 22, 2026: The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD)
announces the arrest of Wilfredo Carmona III in connection with an assault and property
damage investigation in the Bethlehem Village area.
On Saturday, August 8, 2026, at approximately 10:12 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center
dispatched police officers to Bethlehem Village in response to a reported assault. Upon
arrival, responding officers met with the complainant, who reported that Carmona had
assaulted him inside his residence and damaged his property.

ongoing dispute. An argument ensued, during which Carmona allegedly assaulted the
complainant, resulting in visible injuries and a physical altercation inside the residence.
During the incident, Carmona allegedly damaged a bamboo plant and removed a surveillance
camera from outside the complainant’s residence.
On August 20, 2026, an arrest warrant for Carmona was signed by a Superior Court Judge.
On Friday, August 21, 2026, Carmona was taken into custody, processed, and transported to
the John Bell Adult Correctional Facility, where he remains pending his Advice of Rights
Hearing, scheduled for August 24, 2026, at the Superior Court.
