Detectives Made Reckless Endangerment Arrest Following Vehicle Pursuit in Old Fredensborg Area

ROY CHRISTOPHER

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On March 29, 2026, at approximately 8:40 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a radio transmission from detectives investigating a major shooting incident earlier that morning. Detectives reported observing two suspicious vehicles, a dark-colored sedan and a grey Acura TL with the driver’s side and passenger rear doors painted black, traveling at a high rate of speed and operating in a reckless manner in the Food Town Supermarket area.

Detectives attempted to initiate traffic stops on both vehicles; however, the dark-colored sedan evaded police efforts and fled the area. The grey Acura TL was followed by officers and subsequently intercepted in the Old Fredensborg residential area.

The operator of the Acura TL was identified as Roy Christopher. Christopher abandoned the vehicle in the Old Fredensborg area in an attempt to evade police capture and fled on foot through nearby bushes toward the Alfredo Andrews School. He was apprehended by officers shortly thereafter in that area.  Roy Christopher, 24, was transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where he was advised of his Miranda Rights and placed under arrest for Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree. He was subsequently booked and processed. Bail was set at $30,000.00, and he was remanded to the John Bell Adult Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
