St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Patrol Division of the Virgin Islands Police Department responded to an alert from ShotSpotter regarding a single gunshot detected in the vicinity of Hospital Ground. Shortly thereafter, a male victim arrived at the hospital, having sustained a gunshot wound to the lower body.
In response to this incident, the Criminal Investigation Bureau was dispatched and made contact with the victim. However, the individual chose not to disclose any details pertaining to the incident.
