St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands — The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) is actively
investigating a homicide that occurred on St. Croix on Friday, December 27, 2025.
At approximately 1:13 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center, along with ShotSpotter
technology, received alerts of shots fired near the Crab Queen establishment in the vicinity
of Estate Glynn.
VIPD officers and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) responded to the scene, where they
discovered an unresponsive male seated in the driver’s side of a vehicle with multiple gunshot
wounds to the upper body. Upon examination, EMTs determined that there were no signs of
life, and the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Next of kin was notified, and the deceased was positively identified as 25-year-old D’Andre
Friday.
This remains an open and active investigation. Anyone with information regarding this
incident is urged to contact the Virgin Islands Police Department immediately by calling 911
or reaching out to the Office of the Police Chief.
The Virgin Islands Police Department extends its condolences to the family and loved ones of
