St. John Man Arrested for Alleged Assault

St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at approximately 9:34 p.m., Police were notified of an assault victim at the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic.

The victim told Police that he was stuck from behind by Rupert Walters and as he attempted to defend himself, he was thrown to the ground by a third party. The male realized that he had sustained multiple puncture wounds to his body.

The male was subsequently transported to the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic for treatment. A warrant was subsequently obtained for Walters and on Friday, December 19, 2025, 50-year-old Rupert Walters was arrested by Police for Assault in the First Degree, Assault in the Third Degree, Use of a Dangerous/Deadly Weapon During a Crime of Violence, Brandishing /Using Deadly Weapon, Reckless Endangerment. His bail was set at $75,000.00.
