St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Thursday, September 25, 2025, at about 3:45 p.m., Patrol Officers were dispatched to a residence regarding a domestic incident.
Upon officers’ arrival they observed an adult male with injuries to his face. The victim informed officers that Robert Payne Jr. began punching him to the face and mouth several times.
Payne Jr. admitted to assaulting the victim and was read his Miranda Warnings and was arrested for Simple Assault and Battery (DV).
Robert Payne Jr., 34, was transported to the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility, pending his Advice of Rights Court. No bail was set as per the DV statue.
