St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On August 15, 2025, at approximately 3:00 p.m., Detectives of the Criminal Investigation Bureau were requested at the Ancilmo Marshall Command in reference to a domestic violence report. Contact was made with an adult female who reported that on August 15, 2025, her boyfriend Mr. Nelson Garcia Jr. punched her and struck her in the head with a cell phone causing visible injures.
On August 18, 2025, 36-year-old Nelson Garcia Jr. surrendered himself to the police at the Wilbur H. Francis Command, where he was placed under arrest. He faces Assault Second, and Simple Assault and Battery charges. Garcia Jr. was booked, and no bail was set as per domestic violence law. He was transported to the John Bell Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility where he was remanded pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
