
St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at about 10:00 p.m., Patrol Officers were dispatched via 911 Emergency Call Center to an auto mobile collision that occurred on the Queen Mary Highway in the vicinity of the Paradise Bus Shanty in Frederiksted, which resulted in the arrest of 66-year-old Mr. John Gaudet.
Upon arrival at the scene the officers made contact with the drivers, and while interviewing Mr. Gaudet the officers smelled a strong odor of alcohol emanating from Mr. Gaudet’s breath. The officers attempted to administer a Standardized Field Sobriety Test however he could not do the test due to injuries to his legs. He was then placed on the Intoximeter however failed to blow correctly three times. He was then placed under arrest for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
Bail for Mr. John Gaudet was set at $1000.00 per bail chart. Mr. Gaudet posted the bail and was released pending his Advice of Rights.
