Firearm Discovered During Surveillance Operation Led to the Arrest of 22-year-old Man on St. John

St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Saturday, April 5, 2025, at approximately 4:30 p.m. the Special Operations Bureau responded to information provided by the Intelligence Unit regarding a recovered firearm linked to a suspect involved in illegal drug activity.

The investigation began on Friday, April 4, 2025, when the Intelligence Unit conducted surveillance in the area of Cruz Bay, St. John, targeting individuals suspected of drug distribution. During the surveillance, Officers observed a black male, later identified as Mr. Rae-Shawn Amani Emmanuel Frazer, carrying a satchel slung across his left shoulder.

Upon reviewing surveillance footage on the morning of April 5, 2025, officers observed Mr. Frazer discarding the satchel, which had previously been on his shoulder. Inside the satchel, Officers discovered a firearm.

Following the discovery, 22-year-old Rae-Shawn Amani Emmanuel Frazer was located, arrested, and charged with Possession of an Unlicensed Firearm and Possession of Illegal Ammunition. His bail was set at $57,000.00.
