CIB Investigates Homicide on King Cross Street in Frederiksted

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On April 7, 2025, at approximately 10:39 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received reports of shots fired and a man lying down in the Frederiksted Town area. Patrol units were dispatched to investigate.

Upon arrival, responding officers found the body of a black male lying on the ground in the eastbound lane north of the King Cross Street intersection. Emergency Medical Services personnel attempted to provide assistance, but the man had no signs of life. Investigation revealed that he had been shot multiple times to his upper body.

The deceased was positively identified by his family as 45-year-old Isaiah Fawkes.

This case is currently being investigated by the Major Crime Unit (MCU) of the Criminal Investigation Bureau. Anyone with information can call 9-1-1, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-778-2211 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
