St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On February 24, 2025, at around 10:33 p.m., a nurse at the Juan F. Luis Hospital called the 911 Emergency Call Center to report that a female walked into the hospital seeking treatment for a sexual assault.
A detective from the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to investigate this case. Investigation revealed that on February 22, 2025, the victim was offered a ride home from Mr. Danny Dominguez DeJesus. She accepted the ride but became concerned when Mr. Dominguez drove past the intersection leading to her home. Mr. Dominguez drove the victim to an unknown plot and asked her to engage in sex with him and she refused. The victim stated that Mr. Dominguez sexually assaulted her, though she pleaded for him to stop assaulting her. The victim indicated that she sustained visible injuries on her body as a result of the assault.
On March 20, 2025, 21-year-old DeJesus was located, transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where he was advised of his Miranda Rights. He admitted to having intercourse with the victim. Mr. Danny Ramon Dominguez DeJesus was placed under arrest for Kidnapping for Rape and was unable to post bail. Subsequently Mr. Danny DeJesus was transported to the John A. Bell Correctional Facility, pending his Advice of Rights hearing. His bail was set at $150,000.00.
