CIB Investigates Case where St. John Resident was Attacked and Injured During Home Invasion

St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands – Officers were dispatched to a reported burglary at an address in Bellevue Village on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m.

Upon their arrival, law enforcement personnel encountered a male victim who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was at his residence when a visitor knocked at the door. The victim opened his door to greet the visitor and upon doing so, two unknown subjects forced themselves into his home. The victim and one of the unknown subjects tussled for a few moments and when the victim was able to break away, the unknown male discharged a firearm striking the victim multiple times. The two unknown males then left the area in an unknown direction. The victim was later transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.
