St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Sunday, September 20, 2026, 911 received multiple calls of discharging of shots in Princess Villas Housing Apartments in La Grande Princess, at around 2:21 p.m., and an unresponsive male lying on the ground.
VIPD and EMS personnel arrived on the scene and confirmed a male with no signs of life.
The deceased was identified by a family member as 29-year-old Ricardo Richards.
There are no known suspects at this time. Criminal Investigation Bureau Detectives are currently investigating this shooting incident and asking the community if you have any information about this shooting or any other crime to call Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
