St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department is investigating the death
of an adult male discovered in the Flamboyant area of Estate Mahogany, Christiansted.
On Sunday, December 14, 2025, at approximately 12:50 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center
received a report of a non-responsive male at a residence in the area. Officers from the Virgin
Islands Police Department and Emergency Medical Technicians responded to the scene and
confirmed that the male showed no signs of life.
A preliminary investigation revealed no immediate signs of suspicious or foul play. The cause
of death remains undetermined at this time and is pending the findings of the Medical
Examiner.
The deceased has been identified by family members as Michael Springer, age 50.
This investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be released as it becomes
available.
The Virgin Islands Police Department extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved
ones of Mr. Springer during this difficult time.
