
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands— On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at approximately 12:26
p.m., officers and detectives of the Virgin Islands Police Department were dispatched to the
Main Street area in reference to a reported robbery at Precious Jewels and Diamonds.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the business owners and several witnesses, who
reported that multiple masked suspects dressed in all black entered the establishment,
shattered glass display cases, and removed jewelry valued at several thousand dollars.
Witnesses further stated that after taking the jewelry, the suspects fled the scene on foot in
an unknown direction. At this time, the identities of the suspects remain unknown; however,
they are considered armed and dangerous.
The incident is currently under active investigation by the Virgin Islands Police Department’s
Criminal Investigation Bureau.
