St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands — On Sunday, June 7, 2026, the Virgin Islands Police Department responded to a shooting incident at Luna Bar in Peter’s Rest, St. Croix, which left two individuals dead and two others injured.
At approximately 3:45 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received reports of a shooting with possible gunshot victims.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a verbal altercation led to the shooting, that left 31-year-old Wahili James and 34-year-old Samuel Rivera dead. Both were identified by family members. The two gunshot victims are a minor and 30-year-old male, both in stable condition.
