VIPD INVESTIGATES DOUBLE HOMICIDE AND SHOOTING INCIDENT AT LINDBERG BAY

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands — The Virgin Islands Police Department is actively investigating a double homicide and shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in the area of Lindberg Bay, St. Thomas.

At approximately 7:50 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received reports of shots being fired in the Lindberg Bay area. Shortly thereafter, additional callers reported hearing multiple gunshots and advised that three adult males had sustained gunshot wounds.

Officers responded to the scene and discovered an unresponsive male who appeared to have suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) assessed the victim and determined that he showed no signs of life. The victim was later identified by his next of kin as 54-year-old Lidio Arturo Jimenez Montero.

Responding officers also located a second unresponsive male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. EMTs on scene confirmed that the victim also showed no signs of life. On Sunday, May 31, 2026, investigators made contact with the victim’s next of kin, who positively identified him as 49-year-old Guillermo Soto Guerrero.

A third male victim sustained at least one gunshot wound and was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for medical treatment.

The Criminal Investigation Bureau is actively investigating this incident and urges anyone with information that may assist investigators to come forward.

The Virgin Islands Police Department extends its condolences to the families and loved ones affected by this tragic incident.
