St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Thursday, January 8, 2026, at approximately 7:27 p.m. the 911 Call Center received a call of an unresponsive female who was reported to have suffered a self-inflicted wound.
Responding Patrol Officers as well as Emergency Medical Technicians arrived at a residence in Annas Retreat. Emergency Medical Technicians checked the unresponsive female for vital signs and concluded that she did not have any signs of life.
The deceased female was identified by next of kin as 53-year-old Angelique J. Dewindt.
Cause of death is undetermined pending an autopsy.
