St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Sunday, July 12, 2026, at approximately 10:26 a.m., Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) was notified of a body floating in the waters of Coral Bay Harbor.
Upon the officer’s arrival, they made contact with a citizen who stated that they were in the area of Coral Bay Harbor when they observed a body floating in the water.
Emergency responders conducted a search of the area and located an unidentified Caucasian male that was observed floating face down in the water. The male was extracted from the water by members of St. John Rescue and had no vital signs.
The investigation into this incident remains ongoing as authorities work to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
