St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands – Officers were dispatched to Centerline Road in the area of Grunwall in reference to an auto collision involving a water truck at 2:10 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The truck was traveling eastward when the operator lost control of the vehicle, which flipped on the right side, slid and went over the embankment.
The passenger and driver were extracted out of the vehicle by Fire Emergency Medical Services (FEMS) and St. John Rescue. They were both transported to Roy Lester Schneider Hospital (RLSH) via ambulance and ambulance boat for medical treatment. The passenger, a minor, succumbed to injuries sustained and the driver was treated and remains in stable condition. This case is still under investigation by the Motor Carrier Unit and Traffic Investigation.
