Traffic Advisory for Tart Wars

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department advises the community of the parking and traffic restrictions that will be enforced for the upcoming Tart Wars which will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buddhoe Park.

The restrictions are as follows:

  • NO PARKING will be allowed on Lagoon Street.
  • NO PARKING will be allowed on Custom House Street
  • NO TRAFFIC will be allowed northbound on King Street from Custom House Street (KFC) towards the bridge.
  • NO TRAFFIC will be allowed southbound onto King Street from the bridge. All traffic will be routed towards Queen Street.
  • NO TRAFFIC will be allowed southbound towards the Ann E. Abramson Marine Facility (Pier) from Strand Street.
  • NO PARKING will be allowed on King Street between Market Street (Jordan Supermarket) and Custom House Street (KFC) on the left side facing south. Parking will only be allowed on the right side if facing north.
  • King Street will be blocked to traffic from the bridge to Custom House Street (KFC) and Lagoon Street.
  • NO TRAFFIC will be allowed throughout the front of the Pier, Buddhoe Park, Fort Frederik and also Lagoon Street. ONLY vendors will be allowed into these areas to set up and leave.

All road blockages and parking restrictions will be enforced from 7:00 a.m. for the safety of the vendors as they set up for the event.

Any vehicles found in the restricted parking areas will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. As safety is a priority for everyone, the Virgin Islands Police Department appreciates the cooperation of everyone during this event.
