Traffic Advisory for Crucian Rican Event

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) advises the public of the following parking restrictions for the Crucian Rican event.

NO PARKING is allowed under the Christiansted Market area from 12:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., so that the Fire Department can conduct a wash down of the Market area and also for the Department of Agriculture to erect tents in preparation for the Crucian Rican event on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. Once the wash down is completed and the tents are in place, parking will resume for the remainder of the business day. Additionally, NO PARKING will be allowed from Tuesday, January 6, 2026, from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the Crucian Rican event.

NO PARKING is allowed on King Street, Christiansted from the intersection of King Street and Church Street (Coffee Shop) westward to Basin Triangle intersection. NO PARKING is allowed on Company Street from the intersection of Company Street and Church Street (Sonya’s Jewelry) to the intersection of Company Street and Queen Cross Street (Riddims & Hamiltons) from 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Any vehicles parked in these restricted areas will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense.
