Traffic Advisory for Community Events on St. Croix on December 12th and 13th

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department will enforce the following traffic restrictions during the respective events on St. Croix:

Friday, December 12, 2025 – Christiansted Community Alliance Crucian Cultural Group

NO PARKING will be allowed on King Street from the intersection of King Street & Prince Street, Christiansted eastbound towards the intersection of King Street & King Cross Street from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for the tree lighting ceremony at Limpricht Park.

There will be a roadblock at the intersection of King Street & Prince Street, eastbound to the intersection of King Street and King Cross Street. All eastbound traffic from Time Square intersection will be rerouted onto Prince Street. No traffic coming from Strand Lane onto King Street via the exit next to the Christiansted Credit Union will be allowed onto King Street.

Saturday, December 13, 2025 – St. Croix Annual Christmas Boat Parade

NO PARKING will be allowed on King Street, Christiansted from the intersection of King Street & King Cross Street (Florence Williams Library) eastbound towards Church Street (Virgin Islands Coffee Roasters) from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

NO PARKING will be allowed on Queen Cross Street from the intersection of King Street & Queen Cross Street to Caravelle Casino from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

There will be a roadblock at the intersection of King Street & King Cross Street (Florence Williams Library) from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. to allow vendors to set up safely. All eastbound traffic on King Street from the Library will be rerouted onto King Cross Street once the roadblock is implemented. ONLY vendors with vendors permits and committee members of the Boat Parade with valid passes will be allowed entry into the roadblock.

There will be a roadblock at the intersection of Hospital Street & Queen Street (Fort Christiansvaern). All westbound traffic will be rerouted onto Queen Street. ONLY Taxis will be allowed to pass this roadblock to load or unload visitors and US Navy Sailors no further than the Fort’s Visitors Building.

A roadblock will also be at the intersection of Company Street & Queen Cross Street (Riddims). All traffic at this intersection will have to continue westbound onto Company Street.

Any vehicles park in these restricted areas will be ticketed and towed at the owner’s expense. Motorists are strongly advised not to park on any corner or sidewalks or improper parking that will obstruct the normal flow of traffic. 

The Virgin Islands Police Department thanks everyone for their cooperation and wishes all to attend these events an enjoyable time.
