The Criminal Investigation Bureau Investigates a Stabbing at Margaritaville Hotel  

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Virgin Islands Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau is seeking the public’s assistance in gathering information related to an assault.

On Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at approximately 7:30 p.m., the Criminal Investigation Bureau responded to a report on an assault at Margaritaville Hotel and Resort. At the time of the incident the victim was unable to speak, however a witness stated that two males were involved in a fight during which the smaller male pulled out a pocketknife and stabbed the bigger male. The smaller male then fled the area.

The VIPD is urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 extensions 5553, 5554, 5555, or 5556, 911, Crime Stoppers V.I. at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS) or Directly to the Chief’s Office at 340-715-5546 or the Commissioner’s Office at 340-715-5506. The VIPD assures the public that all tips are confidential, and contributors can remain anonymous.
