Suspect in Shooting Incident at Frontline Night Club Extradited to Face Charges

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – The 911 Emergency Call Center received numerous reports from citizens of shots being fired at the Frontline Night Club on July 5, 2025, at approximately 1:16 a.m. A Detective from the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to investigate this matter, and contact was made with several witnesses who indicated that Jose Osorio Jr., fired the shots.

Further investigation into this case revealed that Jose Osorio Jr., does not have a license to possess a firearm or ammunition in this territory. Numerous attempts were made to apprehend Osorio Jr., to no avail. Detectives later received credible information that indicated Jose Osorio Jr., had fled to the mainland. An arrest warrant was then issued by the Honorable Judge of the Superior Court for Jose Osorio Jr.’s arrest. A warrant of extradition was then issued to extradite Osorio Jr. back to the Virgin Islands. On October 3, 2025, 31-year-old, Jose Osorio Jr. was returned to St. Croix and placed under arrest. He was booked and unable to post his bail at $50,000.00. He was charged with Reckless Endangerment First Degree, Carrying firearms openly or concealed, Discharging or aiming firearms, possession or sale of ammunition, and reckless driving.  He was then remanded to the care and custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights Hearing set for October 6, 2025, at the Superior Court.
