
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands — On Tuesday, February 2, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., Special Operations Bureau Officers received information from the Virgin Islands Police Department Intel Unit regarding the possible illegal distribution of a controlled substance in front of a school during school hours, in the area of Altona & Welgunst. The Intel Unit relayed that they observed and recorded a black male, later identified as 49-year-old Mr. Lewis Lebron, make three separate hand to hand transactions with unknown individuals. They also observed Mr. Lebron rolling what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette three separate times and smoking them. Contact was made with Mr. Lebron, who was found in possession of several small plastic bags containing a green leafy substance that were field tested and proved to be marijuana. Mr. Lebron also had cash in multiple denominations.
Mr. Lewis Lebron, was read his rights and placed under arrest for Possession with the Intent to distribute Marijuana within 1000 feet of a school. Unable to post the $7,500.00 bail, Mr. Lebron was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
