Shots Fired Near Divi Casino Left Male Injured

St. Croix, Virgin Islands – On Friday, February 13, 2026, at approximately 12:11 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call in reference to shots fired in the vicinity of Divi Carina Casino. Moments later, 911 received another call reporting a gun shot victim.

When officers arrived in the area, they observed a vehicle with multiple bullet holes that had crashed into a palm tree and a large amount of spent casings in the road in the vicinity of Divi Carina Hotel. The victim was transported by a private vehicle to the Juan F. Luis Hospital emergency room. The victim, an adult male, sustained a gunshot wound to the left side of his abdomen. He was admitted to the hospital and is in stable condition.

This case is still active under investigation. The Virgin Islands Police Department urges anyone with information on this incident to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-778-2211 or Crime Stoppers VI at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
