Patrol Officers Arrest Woman on Domestic Violence Charges

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Monday, December 8, 2025, at about 5:31 p.m., Officers were dispatched to Ebenezer Gardens in reference to a female striking an individual in the face and chasing him with a knife.

The officers made contact with the victim who stated that he was at Ebenezer Gardens taking care of a family member when Valerie Jafferali demanded for him to give her the family member’s food stamp card and bank cards. When he refused to give Jafferali the cards, she punched him in his face, pulled a knife on him and chased him down the hall.

Officers were able to make contact with 47-year-old, Valerie Jafferali and she was placed under arrest for Simple Assault-DV & Assault Third-DV. She was transported to the Richard Callwood Command, where she was booked, processed and turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending her Advice of Rights hearing. No bail was set in this matter due to the Domestic Violence law.
