Man Stabbed Near Bar on St. Thomas, Police Arrest Assailant

St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – Police Officers were dispatched to the roadway across from the former Fat Man’s Bar on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at approximately 6:26 p.m., in reference to a male who sustained a stab wound to the left side of his chest.

Officers made contact with the victim who had what appeared to be blood saturating his shirt by the lower left side of his chest. The victim was able to provide his assailant’s location and was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital via ambulance by Emergency Medical Technicians.

Damas Gallant, 37, was detained and placed under arrest after he was positively identified as the individual who stabbed the victim. Gallant faces charges of Assault in the First Degree, Attempted Murder in the First Degree and Carrying or using dangerous weapons.
