St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On January 7, 2026, at around 5:47 p.m., a complainant made a report at the Ancilmo Marshall Command Police Station regarding a male who entered her home and assaulted a male acquaintance.
Investigation revealed that Lionel Benjamin was the suspect in this matter. He entered the complainant’s apartment without authorization and got into a physical altercation with the male inside the apartment.
On May 4, 2026, Lionel Benjamin, 37, was apprehended and placed under arrest for Burglary First, Simple Assault and Battery and Disturbing the Peace. Bail was set at $75,000.00. He was booked and transported to the John Bell Adult Correction Facility pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
