Man Arrested After He Threatened Victim with a Firearm During a Fight

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Friday, May 9, 2025, at approximately 9:17 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched via the 911 Emergency Call Center to a verbal altercation that began at Moe’s Service Station and concluded at La Reine Pueblo Parking Lot, where the argument then escalated to a physical fight between two men.

Responding officers encountered two males involved in a physical altercation. Both parties were separated, and a licensed firearm that was used to threaten the victim was seized and turned over as evidence in the case.

Mr. Clemence King, age 65, was apprehended and processed at the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station. He was subsequently charged with Assault Third Degree. Mr. Clemence King’s bail was set at $25,000.00 as per the bail chart. He was permitted to post bail in the amount of $1,000.00, and he was released on his own recognizance. Mr. King’s Advice of Rights is scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2025.
