Firearm and Ammunition Recovered During Search Warrant Relating to November 8th, 2025, Shooting Incident in Sunny Isle

St. Croix, Virgin Islands – On November 8, 2025, at around 2:58 a.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call regarding a shooting incident near the Sunny Isles intersection. Shortly thereafter, they were informed that a gunshot victim had arrived at the Juan F. Luis Hospital Emergency Room. Patrol Officers arriving on scene found multiple spent casings in the roadway.

A Detective from the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to further investigate the case. Investigation revealed that Rashoy Burke was a possible suspect in this incident.

On February 25, 2026, search warrants for Rashoy Burke’s residence and vehicle were signed by a Superior Court Judge.

On the morning of March 4, 2026, members of the Criminal Investigation Bureau and Special Operations Bureau executed the search warrants. During the search, a firearm, magazines and ammunition were recovered, and Rashoy Burke was taken into custody.

Rashoy Burke, 20, was placed under arrest for Carrying a firearm openly or concealed and Possession or sale of ammunition. Bail was set at $50,000.00. He was booked and transported to the John Bell Adult Correction Facility pending his Advice of Rights Hearing to be held on March 5, 2026, at the Superior Court.
