Domestic Assault Investigation Led to Arrest of 48-year-old St. Croix Man

VALENCE GEORGE

St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands – On March 29, 2026, at approximately 6:38 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received a call from a female complainant reporting that Valence George had assaulted her earlier and was currently at her residence refusing to leave. Officers from the Patrol Division were dispatched and they made contact with the victim, who displayed visible injuries. 

A detective from the Criminal Investigation Bureau was assigned to the case. The investigation revealed that the victim and Valence George had been involved in a physical altercation at the Frontline Bar. During the incident, the victim was assaulted and strangled by George, resulting in visible injuries to her face, neck, and other areas of her body. 

Valence George, 48, was transported to the Wilbur H. Francis Command Police Station, where he was placed under arrest and booked for Assault Second- DV and Simple Assault a Battery. He was later remanded to the John Bell Correctional Facility pending his Advice of Rights Hearing.
