
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at approximately 8:48 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center was notified by personnel at the Schneider Regional Medical Center (SRMC) that a female with a gunshot wound was dropped off at the Emergency Room.
Patrol officers, along with Detectives and Forensic Unit personnel, traveled to SRMC and made contact with the unresponsive female, who was pronounced deceased prior to law enforcements’ arrival.
The female’s next of kin identified her as 33-year-old Latifa Raimer.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim’s ex-boyfriend, Dana Joseph Jr. shot her and dropped her off at the hospital. Joseph left the hospital without making contact with hospital personnel.
On Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at approximately 2:10 a.m., 35-year-old Dana Joseph Jr. was arrested and charged with Murder in the First-Degree Domestic Violence. Joseph was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending Advice of Rights Hearing.
