St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – The Criminal Investigation Bureau on St. Thomas is investigating a robbery that occurred on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at approximately 7:04 p.m. in the area of the parking lot across from the Elysian Beach Resort. The victim reported to the responding officers that an unknown African American male approached and robbed him at gunpoint.
The victim described the suspect an African American male with a light skin complexion, wearing a black ski mask covering his face, a black long-sleeved t-shirt, black gloves, black pants, and armed with a black handgun. The suspect appeared to be young, approximately 5’9″ in height and weighing around 130 pounds.
The perpetrator ordered the victim to hand over his property, fled the scene on foot while pointing the gun in the victim’s direction, exited the parking lot and disappeared into the darkness.
The police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information regarding the suspect to come forward. Individuals with information can report it by calling the 911 Emergency Call Center or contacting Detective E. Rijo of the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211.
